Configuring The MicroGaming Network To Work With Holdem Manager 3

The MicroGaming Network writes Hand Histories to your hard drive. Holdem Manager 3 must Auto Import hands to display a HUD (Heads-Up Display).  Once we successfully Auto Import hands into Holdem Manager 3 we can setup Preferred Seating

  • The MicroGaming Network must be installed in English.  If you have the MicroGaming Network installed in another language you will need to uninstall it and reinstall the MicroGaming poker client using English.
  • Due to the way they identify their windows we can only display a single HUD when playing multiple MTT/SNG tables.
  • They no longer allow us to display a HUD on their Anonymous tables.
  • On Blaze tables they only write hand histories for hands that go to showdown so we can not support a HUD on these games.
  • You can not use the Active Session tab when playing at Prima/Microgaming skins.  Please use the Reports > More Reports > Sessions report instead.
  • They are no longer writing hands from the point you don't contribute to the pot so we can no longer support these cash game hands - http://www.mpn.poker/blog/closing-a-few-loopholes/
  • Microgaming has made a decision to not provide cash game customers with all hand histories for games they are seated in.  Even though a Microgaming cash game player has posted blinds for the round, they will now only provide customers with a hand history if the customer directly contributed to a pot.  We are no longer importing Microgaming cash game hand histories because many stats are significantly skewed as a result of the Microgaming decision to not provide hand histories on all cash game hands.  We will continue to support Microgaming tournaments as all players are provided with complete hand histories.
  • ^^Edit: Since that was written they have begun to allow customers to manually download and import complete hands 24+ hours after the session.  These hands can be manually imported to the database to review your complete data/history.
  • Their new 'Prima' software is not supported as it no longer writes hand history files of any sort.

Find MicroGaming Network Hand History Folder

Default Hand History Location:  C:\Microgaming\Poker\MICROGAMING_POKER_CLIENT

Example Exact Hand History Location:  C:\Microgaming\Poker\redkingsmpp
Caution: Do not copy the Hand History folders above, they are not your exact Hand History file locations.

Navigate to the folders above on your computer.  This will be your exact Hand History folder.  Copy this folder to your clipboard, we will use it when setting up Holdem Manager 3 Poker Sites.

Now that we know where Hand Histories are being saved, it’s time to Configure HM3 to recognize these Hand History File locations.

Preferred Seating (MicroGaming Network Skins)

Preferred Seating allows your HUD to be displayed next to the correct player.  If you have HUD alignment issues, setting up Preferred Seating will fix it.

To configure MicroGaming Preferred Seating, open the MicroGaming software: click Menu > Options > Seating

  1. Select the table type(s) you play most often from the drop down
  2. Click your preferred seat(s) and tick "Always stay in selected seat for this table size"
  3. Click OK to save your settings

Now we need to setup Holdem Manager 3 Preferred Seating Options (FAQ)
